In Greece, some groups of the population will be required to be vaccinated: we are talking about a mandatory vaccine for the military, nurses and employees of nursing homes, and later – for all medical workers. This was announced by Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis in a televised address to the nation, Protothema writes.
“First, immediate vaccination of employees of nursing homes becomes mandatory, and this is the most vulnerable category. Those who do not do this will be suspended from work from August 16, ” the portal quotes him as saying.
Further, the prime minister said that from September it will be necessary to get vaccinated for every medical worker, and the military will receive “incentives” to get vaccinated in their units. According to him, the country is moving towards the goal of 70 percent of the vaccinated adult population. Almost all COVID-19 patients who were in intensive care did not receive the vaccine.
At the end of June, Greece changed the rules of entry for Russians. Passengers from Russia will be required to provide a certificate of a negative PCR test or a fresh express test.
